@fairyfairylover123 I think it depends. I think if the parents (or parent) are stable and there are set rules in the house clearly defined, then sometimes spanking can be used as a last resort. But I think many adults smack out of anger and losing control. As this show proves, usually it’s the parents that need to change, not so much the type of disclipline. The only reason I’m anti-smacking is because when they’re older, they’re taught hitting is wrong anyway.

Yeah, I was spanked and hit with a belt. I don’t think it was a productive method of punishment. It just made me very resentful (and a bit scared) of my parents. I think something like a time-out or having things I liked temporarily confiscated, would have been more effective.

I’ve never seen this show from this point of view… Seeing all those cameran men (and without any music or any efects) makes it seem different. Very interesting to see how the show is actually filmed.

I’ve never seen Jo as strict with parents as that. She can be very convincing but also a bit scary. xD
